WHO WE ARE
For nearly a half a century, The Independent Insurance Agents of El Paso have provided assistance to our local member agents, local small and large businesses and our community.
Our member agents continue to benefit from all the events that The Independent Insurance Agents of El Paso provide. Volunteering as a Board of Directors Member, you have the opportunity to contribute to our association, enabling change direction and service for The Association. Regular luncheons include guest speakers that provide information on the pulse of the City of El Paso as well as the insurance industry as a whole. Continuing education during ‘lunch and learn’ events as well as continuing education classes provide some of the State of Texas Insurance requirements necessary for licensing.
ACTIVITIES
Our local El Paso economy needs our insurance expertise. The Independent Insurance Agents of El Paso continue to provide insurance counseling to local businesses. Many times, agents who need assistance with insuring difficult businesses, can turn to other association members for additional help. Many insurance carriers that provide personal and commercial insurance also contribute in advancing new insurance coverages and methods.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
As with many non profit associations, The Independent Insurance Agent of El Paso supports our local community. Sponsoring events throughout the year in raising funds for other worthy organizations elevates our Association and our Members. Organizations such as The Wounded Warrior Project, Special Olympics of El Paso, The American Patriots and The Military Student Association at the University of El Paso have benefitted from fund raising efforts of The Independent Insurance Agents of El Paso.
BOB HAMILTON SCHOLARSHIP
Our future depends on the youth of today. Knowing that, The Independent Insurance Agents of El Paso continue to provide for our youth. Each year we award The Bob Hamilton Scholarship to students pursuing any educational degree they desire, as long as they continue their education locally. This successful program has grown from a $500 scholarship to currently $3,000.
